How to Uninstall Office SharePoint Server 2007 Manually

Introduction
In this article we will take a look at the steps which needs to be followed by the SharePoint Administrator to uninstall Office SharePoint Server 2007 manually. Uninstalling Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) removes most of the files and subfolders available in the installation folders. Since the contents are stored in Microsoft SQL Server, the databases are detached and not deleted from the database server when you uninstall Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. In case if you have installed any of the language template packs, then you must start with uninstalling them before you start uninstalling Office SharePoint Server 2007. Also, you need to be a member of Administrator group on the local server or should be a member in Farm Administrator group to uninstall Office SharePoint Server 2007.
Steps to Uninstall Office SharePoint Server 2007
1. Log on to the server which runs Office SharePoint Server 2007 as a Local or a Domain Administrator.
2. Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs (in Windows 2003) or Programs and Features (Windows Server 2008 & Windows Server 2008 R2).
3. In Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and then click the Uninstall button as shown in the below snippet.
4. In Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 wizard screen you will get a popup window asking you to confirm whether you would like to uninstall Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 from the machine. Click Yes to uninstall Office SharePoint Server 2007.
5. Next, you will get a warning message similar to the one which is shown in the below snippet. Click OK to start uninstalling Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
6. The progress of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 uninstall is shown in the below snippet.
7. Once Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 has been successfully uninstalled you will be able to see the below screen. Click Close to exit the wizard.
8. Finally, to complete the uninstallation process you need to reboot the system which can be done by clicking Yes button.
